Dean Busat born in 74’ was raised in central Alberta in the heart of whitetail country. Growing up on the family farm he and his brother, like typical farm kids were always in the bush or fields giving the local critters problems!
He took his first whitetail at the age of 14, solo with a borrowed 30/30 marlin, that small 8pt buck was the start of a lifelong desire to hunt. Dean started guiding both archery and rifle hunters in Alberta when he was 18. While going to Lakeland College in Vermillion Alberta to get his Fish and Wildlife diploma, Dean encountered the kind of world class whitetail that very few people ever see! Missing this massive buck was both a blessing and a curse. That deer still to this day drive’s Dean to not only manage an amazing whitetail herd to it’s fullest potenial but also be the best hunter and guide possible.
Married to Shayna in 1997, they started their whitetail breeding operation in 1998. Son Kyden and daughter Jailey are both active on the family farm now and the Busat’s are truly blessed to be living amongst the amazing White-tailed Deer!
